RN - Emergency Department - NIGHTS

We're seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of compassionate caregivers. Our 25-bed critical access hospital allows our compassionate caregivers to provide excellent patient care in an environment that supports them in their professional growth and development with the latest technologies. Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Known for its mild year-round climate and outdoor activities, Grants NM offers low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs.

Cibola General Hospital provides services in general surgery, 24-hour Emergency care, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Podiatry, Primary Care and Radiology with X-ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms including a room for scopes. Clinics, Lab services, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, and Rehab, and skilled care beds are provided.

Job Summary: Our ER Nurses care for our patients alongside 24/7 physicians and ER Techs. We hire nurses on all ends of the spectrum; from experienced, seasoned nurses, to new graduates.

Reports to: ER Director

Education/Licensure Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure: Current, temporary, or compact license to practice nursing in New Mexico.
Certifications - BLS, ACLS and PALS are required, TNCC preferred.

Professional Experience:

Job Knowledge: Able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability and leadership. Participation in continuing education programs to maintain current license. Knowledge of current trends and procedures in nursing profession.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, reference checks and a post-offer drug screen.
  • Must be employment eligible as verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
  • Tuberculin screening required annually
  • Hospital required vaccinations
  • Hospital required competencies
  • Must be able to meet the physical conditions of the position
